My 12hr turned 36hr motorcycle trek was rewarded after finally making it to the sleepy and often-overlooked Vietnamese beachside town of Dong Hoi. This is the view from my penthouse balcony.

Astrophotography from 1908 — 1919

These images were taken about 100 years ago. I can’t even describe how much respect I have for early astronomers.

This painting is going to Berlin, Germany for “LAX/TXL” an exhibition hosted by Thinkspace Gallery. It’s part of the opening process of a brand new museum, “Urban Nation” featuring New Contemporary art. The museum will have window murals by Joao Ruas, Glenn Barr, Nosego and more, with the 5 story building facade painted by Dabs Myla.

"LAX/TXL" will be situated in a temporary exhibition space opposite this museum making it a killer double punch combo of artness opening May 17th and closing July.

Giant Art Installation Targets Predator Drone Operators
In military slang, Predator drone operators often refer to kills as ‘bug splats’, since viewing the body through a grainy video image gives the sense of an insect being crushed. To challenge this insensitivity as well as raise awareness of civilian casualties, an artist collective installed a massive portrait facing up in the heavily bombed Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa region of Pakistan, where drone attacks regularly occur. Now, when viewed by a drone camera, what an operator sees on his screen is not an anonymous dot on the landscape, but an innocent child victim’s face.

This miniature ecosystem has been thriving in an almost completely isolated state for more than forty years. It has been watered just once in that time. The original single spiderwort plant has grown and multiplied, putting out seedlings. As it has access to light, it continues to photosynthesize. The water builds up on the inside of the bottle and then rains back down on the plants in a miniature version of the water cycle.
As leaves die, they fall off and rot at the bottom producing the carbon dioxide and nutrients required for more plants to grow.

if you don’t think this is fucking rad then get out of my face
